Went on The Pearl (Norwegian) to Alaska last September for 7 days and it was GREAT! Never been on Carnival, but a friend has and didn't like it at all. The thing we liked about the Pearl was how new and clean it was, our balcony room was great, the food was good with lots of choices and you could eat whenever you wanted, unlike other cruises. Fun entertainment on board and many excursions to choose from. I'd definitely recommend NCL. Have fun! |

I had a bad time on Norwegian 1 cruise only 15 years ago and I'll never use them again.
Carnavel was our very first cruise and it was great. Was it because it was our first or was it really that good? I don't know.
Carnival is usually a young family cruise
Royal Caribbean has always been good for us. 12 cruises.
Rooms food etc are all very close to the same.
