What level is best on a cruise?
I've been on a cruise before and I need to wear the patch to avoid motion sickness. Previously I stayed on Level 4. I now have the option to stay on 7 or 9. Do you feel the motion more on higher levels or lower levels?
To feel the motion as little as possible you want to be on the lowest decks towards the middle of the ship.
While you will feel less motion on the lower decks, the most pronounced differences will be the further forward or aft of the middle of the ship.
In order to visualize this hold a pencil between your thumb and forefinger in your left hand, make sure your fingers are holding the middle of the pencil. Now with your right hand holding a tip, rock the pencil up and down keeping your left hand still. The ends will be moving a lot while the middle will be moving the least.

Level 7 and 9 will be fine. Try to reserve a cabin in the center of the ship - that is where it is the steadiest.

I have been on 20 cruises and have always asked for a inside cabin on deck 11. Never felt a thing even in 15ft seas. Have had friends on lower decks and they say that there more noise but, not much movement there.

The least amount of motion will be lower near the center of the ship.

higher levels definatly have more motion ,
for proof take you hand and turn it so your thumb is facing you, now tilt side to side.
your nails (level 9) have a far greater range of motion
hopefully youre doing it right, anyways could you check out my question thanks

I was told my my travel agent that the lower down you are the less you feel any movement. She also said that being at the back of the ship is better too
Good Luck

I went on a cruise from new york to florida, and to the bahama's and back. We had a room with a balcony and it was great. I will never get a room any lower then that, because I did not feel sick at all.
