Congrats. I think from now until July are great times for cruising. I went on one in August (first time cruise) and a tropical storm diverted us from our planned route.

Pack at least two swimsuits. buy the soda coupon if you are going to be at sea for a while, it really helped us on our cruise.

If you are prone to motion sickness take some drammamine.

Don't forget, the food is included so if you want one of every entree go for it!

Let the crew take as many pics as they can. You have no obligation to buy. Just hop on down to the photography area and check for your pics, and if you don't want them then you stick them in the unwanted box.

This is a great time of year, and even though you're going to the Caribbean, pack a light sweater or wrap. It will get cool up on deck in the evenings. (Yes, you'll be up on deck... find the deck that is the darkest -- usually something forward either above or below where they steer the ship -- go up late at night and look at the stars. Wow!)

Don't forget your sunscreen!!

Jan-March is a great time to go.

I'd say November or March. They are JUST outside of the peak seasons, so you can generally get great bargains while still enjoy the benefits of peak seasons (weather etc).

I've been cruising 8 times. My first cruise was in November (beginner's luck); and my March cruise was where I proposed (and got married 1 year later). Both were in the Caribbeans.

Have fun! I love cruises so much that I wish I can go on one anytime!
