What shore excursions do you recommend?

I am taking a Carribean cruise to Montego Bay, Jamaica; Cozumel, Mexico; and Grand Cayman. We have done this cruise before and have already done the sting ray thing, horseback riding and fishing. My partner and I are interesting in everything and I was wondering what excursions everybody would recommend for these ports??

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
In Jamaica I recommend the Dunn's River Falls tour and the Martha Brea river raft trip. I have done both and they are great.

In Grand Cayman I recommend just going to enjoy the great beach, forget them tours.

In Cozumel the best things to do are scuba and snorkel, OR do a tour to the mainland to Xcarat or the Mayan ruins.

We did the Dunn's Falls and Dolphin experience while we were in Jamaica...Dunn's Falls is very physical! The dolphin experience was better in Cozumel. We are going to try the Negril Beach experience for our June cruise on this itinerary.

There are tons of options in Cozumel. We loved the Caverns by Jeep tour..it is a full day since you have to take the ferry to Playa del Carmen and you need to be able to drive a standard but it was a blast.

We also liked the Deluxe Beach option...open bar, lunch, great beach, optional on the beach massage, pool, water toys. It was great and we are going to re-visit in June.

We did the Hell, Turtle Farm, Stingray tour on our first trip....skip this one. While the trip to "Hell" sounded cool, it is really just a convenience store in front of a rock formation.

We did the Boatswain's tour on our last trip....you get full access to the Turtle Farm's pools and lagoon. My family had a great time snorkeling and watching the staff hand feed the sharks. The turtles are neat.

Cozumel- we took the excursion to Tulum to see the ruin, which was fantastic and they have a lovely beach to visit while there

Jamacia_ try the Dunn River falls, I know its closer to Ocho Rios but I think its still possible, well worht the climb, also try the tubing, very cool

Grand caymen- been there a few times and frankly, other than drinking and sitting by the beach I havent came up with anything to do, since we dont shop that is

B
Helmet Diving - It is awesome!

Snuba Adventure is also very good -

If you are an active person, try these.
Mobay: Zip line tour. It is a total blast!
Coz: Discover Scuba. If you can't scuba, then try a snorkle tour with Eagle Ray divers and have them drop you off at the beach after the tour.
3: GC If you don't dive, then I would head over to sea grape beach on a public bus.

I've been on the same cruise 3 times!! Ok - Montego Bay - take the tour around the island. You're guide will bring you all around Jamaica and I will tell you - it's breathtaking. You'll go into caves (just 2) but, the greenery - absolutely beautiful.
Cozumel, Mexico - do the mini jeeps & snorkeling. The mini jeeps are fun to drive - especially across all of Cosumel - and the reef you end up snorkeling at has sea turtles! Absolutely beautiful AND fun!
Grand Cayman - relax woman!! Excursions here are not all that fun - waste of money really. The island is a wealthy island with an updated city (and the people are VERY nice!). Walk around and enjoy the company.
Have fun!!!!

In MoBay, I would ONLY do a ship's excursion - and even that may be risky. Don't try to do Dunn's River Falls; it's too far.

In Cayman, just go to the beach and chill if you've already been to the stingrays. Rum Point is gorgeous, though it's not near the ship and not easy to get to.

Cozumel - go to Chankanaab Park [take a cab] or to Paradise Beach.

Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards", go to "Ports of Call" and then click on your ports for great info from experienced cruisers.

i would recommend the dolphin swim and snorkel in cozumel at the chanakanab park its a really great experience and they focus on one on one not the entire group at once and its usually very small groups

Time travler
I did a tequila tasting in mexico. Now that was 1 fun excursion. It started at 9am and we tasted at least 15 different tequila's. We were 1 happy group. Grand Cayman is a fantastic place to shop. If you want a quality watch at about half the price. this is the place to buy it. Your cruise line can tell you which shops are ones you can trust. Princess cruises evens guarantee's some the the shops so that you get exactly what you pay for. No fake Rolex's. Make sure you get some tortuga rum cake. it's to die for.
