What should I do in Roatan? |
Our cruise was just rerouted to Roatan Island, Honduras in place of Costa Maya. What is in Roatan and what should we do while there?
I heard that there was a market, and that the beaches were beautiful. How is the market? Should we take a taxi to a beach or do the boat's excursion?
I'm having trouble finding a lot of information so any help would be appreciated! Thanks
Additional Details
I would rather not take a taxi or anything unless it is to the cameo factory. I would like to know of things that are within walking distance of the pier. |

i think if you hit any of the beaches they will be amazing....look for some excursions for beaches and shopping because of all of the ones i went on those are always the best |

The canopy tour is great and the beaches are beautiful. I would advise to go on the ship tours and not use the local tour agents. You don't want to get out somewhere and not be able to get back when the ship leaves! |

I would go to Anthony's Key Resort and swim with the dolphins. You can shop right on the dock area with locals. A certified taxi driver can help but agree on a price first. |

Take the cruise bus to the beach. The trip to the beach takes a little more than a half hour. The beach is beautiful. |

Check out the Bay Island Beach Resort. It is a quiet and lovely little place. They will charge a reasonable day fee (includes transportation).
