Many cruises offer excellent experiences at relatively low cost, and one of the best ways to find one is through one of the internet web sites that help you find "last minute" deals, in which there is not much time between booking and sailing. The cruise lines always try to have all cabins booked, and often sell the last spots at extremely low prices. Of course, you don't have much time to plan your trip! Some people, most of whom live near a departure port, literally show up at the dock either on the day of departure of a day or so before departure, and can get excellent bargains that way, too. As to "specific cruises", you might want to check out Carnival Cruise Line, which generally has the best overall "regular" fares for low cost. |

My favorite site for finding great cruise deals is VacationsToGo. You can put in your requirements and look at all the options. It's a fun way to plan. Any big cruise line will offer a great experience the differences usually will depend on your personal interests. Some have water slides, some have ice skating, some have freestyle dining. It depends on what you are looking for and what your personal preferences are. If you've never been on a cruise before, I doubt you'll be disappointed with whatever cruise you choose as there is plenty to do for everyone. Look for a great price and fun locations you want to visit and you can't go wrong. |

In my experience excellent and inexpensive are not the same company.
The cheapest is Carnival... by far.
The best is Princess...by far.
That having been said, I love cruises. To me, the worst cruise is better than the best....anything..
So for my money, if I were cruising on a budget, I think that I would still stick with Carnival.
However, I haven 't tried Royal Caribbean yet. That might be worth a look.
