I have been on 3 Carnival Cruises. I can tell you a few things about them. First drinks are not free. You get free apple, orange and guava juice for breakfast along with tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. For lunch and dinner you get fruit punch and the other options except orange juice. All mixed drinks, alcohol and sodas are at a charge of 2.50-8.95. Bottle water is also a charge. You get free shampoo and soap in a dispenser in your room. As far as drinks you get free alcohol and appetizers at Capatain's ball night. All food is included in the price of the cruise for Lido deck and fpormal dining room. Dining room is a great experience. They also have a hair dryer in your room but they usually are not that great. As far as a drink card . I love sodas but I allowed myself 1 a day on the ship and got some when I was at port . They are cheaper in ports of call than on the ship. Hope I have been of help. Bring clothes and bath suithes. Dont pack to much since there is limited storage room in the cabin. Be prepered to pay for all drink except water. You also have to pay something like $10 per day in tip plus 15% on everything you buy on the boat. You probebly also want to pay for several shoretours (excursions). Have fun! Johan

You get one free mixed drink per day, other than that by a drink card for soda unless you plan on drinking water. Mixed drinks and beers cost per drink. Although if you wait for the excursions drinks tend to be cheaper. Don't forget to tip your waiter we had the option of just paying all at once (which I would recommend). You will have the same waiter every night and they will get to know you and by the end of the cruise will know which kind of foods and drinks you like. I would bring shampoo b/c theirs never last long enough.

There is shampoo and body wash/soap. To drink thats free is lemonade, apple juice, fruit punch and iced tea. As well as hot tea and coffee. I wouldn't bother buying a drink card unless you really want pop. Alcoholic drinks expect for the first one on Captains night you have to pay for, plus tip. Pretty much everything else is included, enjoy your cruise!

yes there is samples of shampoo like any other hotel . mix drinks at caption party are free..put some booze in a soda bottle in your checked bags.. if you don't drink sodas ...tea coffee juice punch all free..remember room service is free ..put a ribbon on your bags everyone has black bags.

Hey, I am goning on a Carnival cruise From New Orleans this weekend and I asked Carnival one the questions you asked. The only drings that are included are Coffee, Tea(hot and Iced) milk, juices and water. If you want a soft drink you have to buy them or you can buy a Coke Card for $31 that give you unlimited cokes and sprite... you can bring an Ice chest with you and your steward will keep it iced 4 U. You can bring on Wine and other drinks but no Hard Liquer. I know some folks bring their own booze in Ice tea bottles or listerine bottles. So watch it if you plan on drinking booze like a fish. You will be charged for every mixed drink and beer you consume. Hey maybe I see ya on the ship. Have a great time!!!
