What time do we arrive for departure?

Arriving around 11:00 or so is the best thing. Once you get on board the ship, you can go on and eat lunch and find your room. take a carry on with you, and find your room (even though they say not to go to your room until later, I like to at least find my room and leave my carry on in there) Then you can explore the ship for a few hours before departing. You can search where your dining room is, and look for your muster station for the life boat drill (which is mandatory). In your room, there will be life jackets, and on those are letters, you will follow the signs posted corresponding to the letter on your jacket. so it is a good thing to explore the ship a few hours before sailing. You will receive your luggage at your door sometime between 2-6.
There are diagrams all over the ship (of the ship) helping you find things, but I also suggest to get one from a book or your travel agent to carry with you.

I always arrive about 12:00 for a cruise that leaves that time. This way I can explore the ship at my leisure and start to take advantage of the food aboard. A nice leisurely lunch and then topside to watch the departure is a great start in my eyes.

As far as your luggage, donâ€™t count it being in your room before sailing. Take a small carry-on with whatever you need. The luggage may arrive but donâ€™t take the chance.

Generally, cruise lines require you to actually be processed an hour before the ship is ready to leave port. So for you, this would be 3pm. If you arrive at or after 3pm, they are likely not to let you board. Go early and try to beat the crowd (perhaps at 12) and hopefully you will get your luggage by the time you were hoping..
I suggest taking a carry on (like a backpack) that has clothes/necessities in it, or wear something comfy incase your bags are late getting to your room.

just arrive on time... a porter will take your bags to the people who put your luggage on the ship . and meh 2-3 hours maybe even less than that your luggage will be at your door. i know our has gotten beside our door fairly quickly . anyways! you have to go to muster station!!! hahah...... i never go to those things... borrrrring

I prefer to arrive as soon as you can possibly get on board. The lines are generally much shorter and you can spend the afternoon in the buffet or at the pool with a cold frosty drink in your hand.

The later in the day, the longer it takes to check-in - it can take several hours if you get there at a particularly thick time.
