Here you go...
Clothing (i packed like 2 outfits for each day maybe more did not wear all of it but I liked having options)
• a pair of nice jeans you may want to wear those at night when its chilly
• capris
• a couple of sweaters for night
• a few bathing suits (they often don't dry out quick enough)
• cover ups (not appropriate to walk around in just a bathing suit)
• at least 1 formal/semi formal dress (I brought a lot of cute summer dresses and terry tube dresses because they were easiest not only to pack but to throw on over the bathing suit if needed)
• shorts
• skirts
• tops I like tube tops for tanning purposes, but bring cute ones for hanging out, tshirts whatever you like to wear
• don't forget your underwear and bras!
• check your activities/excursions to see what attire you need for them
Accessories
• a hat or two
• sunglasses don't bring expensive hate to see them drift out to sea
• tote bag for carrying your sunscreen and stuff
• jewelry but not nice in case it gets lost
• flip flops
• if you plan to do any long walking or the gym some good shoes for that. oh and socks
Other
• sunscreen
• lip balm with SPF a lot of lip glosses don't have it and you will burn your lips being in the sun so much
• perfume optional
• medications-Advil-sea sickness...
• Ipod, camera and other electronics you may want to use
• magazines and books
• your bathroom stuff - toothbrush, deodorant (keep it simple not a lot of space in the bathroom)
• straightener, hair dryer, curling iron if needed
Not needed
• towel they give them to you
• purse possible a little one if you want to carry your camera in it or your room card
• cell phone not necessary its a fortune to use it. check with your service to find out rates. Text messaging even costs extra.
• you don't need a lot of cash. you usually use the room card which is connected to an account they don't take cash on the ship. on some islands you use the card too
The airports only let you use certain locks now so make sure they are the correct ones or they will be cut off. If you have anything of value and want to keep it in your suitcase locked on the ship that is fine. There is also usually a safe in your cabin.
Check out photos from my cruise to get an idea. I was 26 on this cruise so close to your age. Also on a carnival cruise...

- trousers
- casual skirts
- blouses
- sundresses
Lounging By the Pool
- to bathing suits
- casual shoes (flip-flops, sandals, and sneakers)

Sweaters, jackets, and long pants would be useful if you are taking a cruise to Northern Europe or Alaska. Also a raincoat, hiking shoes, and a travel umbrella. A swimsuit is also suitable to bring in cold weather because the ship has a Solarium.
What NOT to Pack
- electrical transformers
- coffee makers
- candles
- irons
- illegal drugs
- flammable liquids
- explosibes such as fireworks
The cruise line also recommends not packing any valuables like jewelry in your checked luggage for security reasons.
Hope you have fun on your cruise :] |

I'm also going on a Carnival Cruise this August 2009 also. This is my 5th Carnival cruise. You should bring dresses of course, skirts, tank tops and short sleeve shirts. You must bring at least 2 formal outfits. Because in the dinning room there is a day called formal day and everyone dresses formal. And I don't think you want to look odd. (This is if you booked to go to the dinning room with your travel agent) You should bring a sun hat. Bring at least 2-3 (or more i you want) bathing suits and at least 2-3 cover-ups. You might also want to bring some shorts. Also at least 1 pair of jeans, or more. Bring slippers, sandals, heels (if you wear). Also bring jewlery! Thats about it.
Have fun . |

bring at least 2 outfits per day (day and evening clothes). for a week cruise there are 2 formals nights (cocktail or evening dress). the other nights dinner in the dining room is resort casual. on a cruise that means no jeans, shorts, t-shirts. i wear skirts/casual dresses/ khaki capris, etc. during the day anything goes. i always put a cover-up over my swimsuit when eating or walking through the ship, although you will see a lot of people walking around in their swim suits. i usually wear shorts/tanks over my swim suit in port. |

bring the same as you would for a land vacation only less of it. Keep it down as there is not a lot of room and if flying they charge for checked bags. A pair of dress shoes, pair of sandals and good walking shoes are all you need for foot wear. Mostly shorts and T's for daytime, plus swimsuit and coverup. Most experienced cruisers wear the same item more than once. bring a pair of slacks or a skirt for the dining room at night. For dressy you can bring a long skirt or a pair of dressy slacks and a couple of dressy tops and you will be fine. |

you have not worry your dress, you must only bring the urban fashion, that will suit you and your cruise. |

Bring sun dresses that can be dressed up or down with accessories. Like for formal nights, I might wear a sun dress with some fancy jewelry and dress shoes and perhaps a pretty wrap. Then for day use, I take away the fancy jewelry and such. This will give a dress double duty. Leave heavy jeans at home for the Caribbean as they are too hot. Tees and shorts are perfect for shore excursions. Don't forget swimwear, of course and several pairs of sandals too.You will find the you mostly wear shorts, tees, sun dresses, and sandals, and not much else. |
