I have been on many cruises and you see anything from prom to dressy-casual. On the most recent ones, I wore a cocktail-looking dress that was not black or any other "serious" color. I would not worry about looking "frumpy" or "too youthful" because there are so many types of dresses on the ship that you will not feel out of place. Have fun on your cruise! Depending on what cruise line you go on, most people stay pretty casual- even on the formal nights.
I'm 27 & on my cruise in January, I wore a knee length dress (coctail type) that I bought at bloomingdales. My boyfriend wore a suit & tie. We were almost more dressed than everyone else, But we did look pretty good ;) |

I doubt that anything could make you look to young and frumpy because you are 22. I mean kids wear homecoming dress, cocktail dresses, and some wear like prom dresses but you dont need to be that extravagent. So you'll be fine and their will be alot of other people wearing alot weirder things. |

people don't wear gowns anymore...you will be surprised! don't stress over it..a nice dress should be sufficient! |
