Whats best to take for sea sickness?

You are not likely to get sea sick unless you are really sensitive to motion.
(1) All of the new ships now being built have automatic stabilizer that all but eliminate any rocking from side to side. And these newer passenger ships are so long, most 900 feet to almost 1,000 feet, that the front to back motion is also all but eliminated.
(2) Cruise ships generally move from port to port overnight, generally about 6:00 PM. You go to dinner between 6 and 8 PM, maybe go to the evening show and maybe the disco and then go to bed. And when you awake the next morning you are in a new port. So you sleep a good portion of the time when the ship is moving.
(3) Cruise ships make every effort to stay away from bad weather that would cause the ship to rock, even changing the order of port stops if weather is bad at one.
(4) I have never used Maxolon, but I have never gotten sea sick either. But there are some other options to combat sea sickness. One is a prescription from your Dr for either pills or a patch that is applies behind the ear. The best option if you don't want to be drugged is a wrist bracelet that you can purchase at boating stores. http://www.biobands.com/

I use c-bands it work , had for few years now. they work on a pressure point on the bottom of your waist. been on 8 cruises.

You can get a prescription for the patch which does not cause drowsiness. Or you can buy what they call a sea band this you wear on your wrist and it provides a pressure point which a lot of people say works at stopping sea sickness.

Sea bands worked great for my husband. You can get them at any pharmacy and they sell them on the ships too. He tried ginger, but it did nothing. Of course Dramamine works great as well as those prescription patches. You will see lots of people wearing them. My feeling is the movement is so slight now a days, that if you can get by without any drugs, the better off you are. That is also why my husband preferred the sea bands, no drugs involved with these.
