When is the best time to book a cruise for my honeymoon? ?

We really need to get a good deal in order to afford it. We're planning on getting married at the end of March and would like to depart a few days later. We think a 3-4 night Caribbean cruise would be great. Around $700 total (with tax and fees) would be even better. Where do I start looking? Should we book now or wait til the last minute for a better deal? I would not be disappointed if it fell through at the last minute as long as we had a back up plan. Also, we don't care about a balcony or anything so a small interior room is fine (which is what I assume is typically left when you book last minute).

for this one i think i would go to a travel agent who specializes in cruising. They could get you close to the carribean cruise in your price range.
sometimes looking on line and finding it all yourself , you can become overwelmed with all the different choices.

best wishes and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

Booking in advance is always recommended. If you are looking for a 3 or 4 night Bahamas cruise, you could probably do it for around that price range, but that would not include your flights or transportation to the ship. Bahamas are the most inexpensive cruises generally. If you book in advance and the price goes down, if available for all bookings, a good travel agent will honor the lower rate and you could be reimbursed the difference. Booking an interior room is not a terrible thing, as most people spend much of their time enjoying the ship and very little time in their rooms anyway. A cruise is a great idea for a honeymoon and you would have an amazing time.

we spent ALOT!! when we were on the cruise drinks are expensive and you also have to tip $50 per person on carnival... save save save!!! but mostly have fun!!!

You should start looking and booking now. If you wait until the last minute, you may not get to go at all.

Look for a travel agent that specializes in cruising. One that is a certified cruise counselor (ACC, MCC, or ECC) will be able to help you the best. You should be able to find a cruise in your price range or at least close to it on Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Norwegian.
