First, there are some cruises that leave from Baltimore but not all year long. There are few leaving from there and they are mainly in the summer. If you expand your options and consider other cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Norwegian you may have more choices. RC does have a cruise from Baltimore in November and now is a great time to reserve it as you get the best price for early bookings. You can reserve by paying the minimum deposit of about $250 per person and then pay the balance by 70 days before the cruise.
Also, if you are looking at Baltimore to save air fare to the cruise port, consider also Philly and Norfolk, Va as there are a few cruises leaving from those ports and they are about 4 hrs or less driving time from the Baltimore/Dc/Va areas. Below are links to all 3 ports and each should have a cruise calendar to show you who is sailing and when.
I have been on cruises to the Caribbean in the fall/winter months and they are great. The weather is usually great once you get to Florida and the water is great for beach and water sports activities. |

The best time to cruise to Bahamas/Caribbean is between late Nov through April due to hurricane season. So time wise I think you are Ok, but if you are flexible with your schedule and ports of call, you can wait for last minute deals and you may be surprised what you are getting. I've done last minute booking on 9 out of 10 cruises and I was pleased I did that. My suggestion is to use simple websites like Yahoo travel or Expedia to check for deals and pricing and call travel agents and get the quotes from them.

Well don't go during hurricane season. I think march is the most popular time to go. A cruise is more fun when more people are on it, unless you like more peace and quiet, then you should go at an off time. |

It's best to stay out of the Caribbean during the summer months as that is prime hurricane season. However, and this is important, you can often find the best deals then. Some cruise lines even have special "hurricane insurance" to give you credit towards another cruise if your cruise is impacted due to weather. Most travel insurance policies will also handle disruptions due to hurricanes. |
