When on a cruise ship?

What do the passengers do in a real bad storm?

It has to be a really bad storm to affect to-day's cruise ships because they are so big and are well stabilised. If the weather is really bad, access to the open decks may be restricted (you are advised not to go outside). The inside activities carry on as usual and people who are bothered by the ships motion usually retire to the peace and comfort of their own cabins.
This is the only time that you will find no queues at the buffet and the dining room will be relatively quiet.

Enjoy it! There is nothing more fun then the rocking and rolling of a cruise ship. The bigger the waves the better!!

They throw up.... When I cruised to Bermuda a few years ago, the storm got really bad and we had to completely change our itenerary. They closed alot of the outside decks off, the pools and hot tubs, outside bars, etc. I NEVER get sea sick, but everyone did on this cruise, staff included.

They hope the entertainment is wonderful that night. Nah, actually, if the storm is rough but not dangerous, then drinks are reduced in price, and the music is turned up to make people feel jovial and less stressed. Unfortunately, if the storm is too bad, passengers are asked to stay in their cabins. To be safe, you might want to not travel during prime hurricane times, usually August through December.

starbrite.
Cruise ships are so big that the average storm
isn't a problem.

Mainly stay in the cabin or some people at the front of the ship sleep around the inside decks in the middle of the ship, as this is the best place to be.
