When my wife and I booked our cruise we used sevenseastravel.com. They called us back right away and they were very nice and helpful. They did not have any fees and we received free credit to spend on the ship. |

One benefit of using a travel agent is that if anything goes wrong you can call the travel agent and they have people they can contact to make things right. As far as the price goes, my experience is that regardless of if you use an agent, a web site or just book it directly through the cruise lines web site the prices are pretty much the same.
AVOID Royal Caribbean at all cost you will walk away feeling as though your money was wasted. I recently returned from a Royal caribbean cruise and the service was the worst I have experienced on any cruise. The customer service at the main office in Miami was not helpful at all.
I have cruised with Carnival and could not believe how well my family was treated. I have also got the best deals on Carnival and I can not say enough how awesome the service in on Carnival.
I have been to pretty much all the caribbean destinations and my favorites were the Caymen Islands (the people are soooo nice) and St. Thomas (BEAUTIFUL!!!). |

Check the prices of online sites and then checkwith some local travel agencies. Even if you book with a online site, their will always be someone to help you. |

You can also get a commission back on your own cruise and other travel by signing up to be a travel agent:

I always book through my travel agent! She finds better prices for me than any web site has available, handles air, any hotel for the night before boarding the ship, transfers, etc. She has several insurance plans available, and that is really important since they are all different and you need to get the one best for you (not best for the cruise line to sell!) There is no charge for all her good work. She also happens to send a bottle of wine as a bon voyage gift -- some travel agents do that, and some do not. When on occasion I have found something that looks interesting on a web site, I have called her, and she can book that for me -- and generally with an even better price! Finally, a travel agent who handles cruise travel can provide lots of good advice that you will not find on any web site and match you up with the cruise line that you will enjoy most -- they're all different, of course!
As to what sort of cabin to book, I just book an inside cabin for trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific since there's not a lot to see once you're away from shore. However, I always book and have never regretted booking a veranda cabin for the Caribbean! There's nothing quite like being on your own private balcony late at night watching the water go by before you tuck into bed, and breakfast on your balcony is a lovely treat. Also, it's a wonderful place to be to watch your ship pull into a new port! Please be careful if you book an outside cabin, which is a cabin with a window but not a balcony -- if the cabin is on a deck with a promenade or walkway around, you can't open your curtains to see out unless you're willing for everybody who walks by to be able to see in! So what deck that outside cabin is on makes a HUGE difference! |

The best price I found was through Costco.com if you have the membership. We paid $100/year for an executive membership and received top discount on most of everything from car buying to mortgage to travel. Our family cruise was a few hundred less than others and we got the most on-board credit, too. |

ROYAL CARRIBEAN CRUISES! amazing experience... just check their website out, u dnt need a travel agent...
advice: if u want to book a room, don't book the rooms with the balcony ..... cos u won't be spending time on ur balcony cos ull be doing SOOO many other stuff in the ship... plus it's pricey.
