I just went on my first cruise and I got back last week. I got a lot of my information from www.cruisecritic.com. It was an excellent source for travel industry reviews, and reviews from travelers. You can find out everything you need to know from that site. Once you pick your cruise then go to the boards and pick your cruise line and then choose Roll calls, where you will chat with others going on the same cruise. I highly recommend getting to your port city one day in advance of the cruise to save on too much chaos. If you are going after January 1st, and you will be traveling outside of the US, you will need a passport. You will need to apply now in order to get it by the first of the year. If you are going and returning before December 31st, all you will need is an official state issued birth certificate, and photo ID. It is an experience I will never forget. It was wonderful. |

Try cruiseaddicts.com or cruisecritic.com. The boards there cover every cruise related subject there is. You can get lots of answers from veteran cruisers who love to share the cruising world. Bon Voyage. |

The travel channel has a few really informative shows. The best one the I really remember was Cruise Do's and Don'ts. But they repeat alot of the Cruise shows frequently. I have seen not only the above show, but one on the Disney Line, Samatha Brown crusing on Royal, and another show (sorry don't remember the title), but ranking the different cruise lines for different experiences (such as dininig, entertainment, ports, price, spas, etc.). Also, try each of the cruise lines web sites, also a good place to learn about their cruise lines. Have fun! |
