You said this is for 1 person. The cruise lines book cabins based on double occupancy so you will be paying the cruise fare times 2 plus port fees and taxes for 1. So that is not really going to be an inexpensive trip. If she wants a balcony I would not wait until few days prior to the cruise. Balcony's are popular on cruises now and they usually are sold out. You should get the same price no matter where you book your cruise. The cruise lines stopped all rebating few years ago. If she is really wanting to go you should book now so there is time to pay. If you wait you will have to pay all at once as final payments are usually due 75-90 days prior to sailing.

usually I'd say vacationstogo although you do have to pay some tax. although due to the conversion rate between pounds and dollars at present you might be better with igloo or gills cruises look out for deals with no single supplement.

Try thomas cook, I found there prices cheaper then going through P&O direct. Has to be booked through the web though.

P&O prices very rarely go down from the brochure price. The reason Ventura prices were reduced was because the average P&O regular customer doesn't like the Ventura and they had to reduce.
