Oh, yes!!!!
Go down to Westminster Pier, in London right near Westminster Abbey. Take box lunches and take the boat up to Kew Gardens (botanical).. it is absolutely beautiful, and the farther up the Thames you go, the shallower it becomes. If you are lucky you will see fellows out rowing their boats on the river. You can see all sorts of gardens, and pretty houses with gardens right down to the waterside. Tell the girls to take their sketch pads and some good pencils and erasers... there is so much to look at!

Hopefully the weather will be nice and you can see the Spring flowers at Kew ..what a treat! (low heeled shoes!, wear a wind breaker and slacks, take a thermos of hot tea ... it is windy on the water, even in Spring,)

As I recall, it is more than a couple of hours... try four at the outside... maybe three... but lovely fun.
