Do you want to go some place warm or cold? Warm - Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, Caribbean, etc. Cold - Alaska (starting in May), Eastern seaboard, Canada, etc.
Are you willing to fly a long distance? If not, you're limited to cruises that go to certain locations from certain home ports. For the southern US cities, this is the Caribbean. For the west coast, this is Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska. If you're willing to fly a long distance, you can cruise areas of Europe or the Mediterranean. You can also fly to Europe and do a one-way Atlantic crossing cruise. They also have lots of cruises around Australia and the South Pacific.
If you just want the experience of being on a cruise and don't care to stop in any ports, you can also take what they call a "cruise to nowhere". This is where they go out to sea for a couple days and basically go around in circles.
Living in San Diego, I don't have a lot of cruise destination options (Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska if I go out of Los Angeles). Hawaii's too long of a trip, and is therefore too expensive. And, I really don't care to go to Alaska. I have been to the Caribbean once and I think I prefer that over Mexico. |

A cruise/tour to Alaska. You cruise then spend time on a land tour to a National Park Like Denali. However due to the time of the year and cruise ships can not travel inland you can not see the Northern Lights.
The Amazing Scenery, Wildlife, People, Culture etc..

If you're looking for a cheap rate too, I've used Bargain Travel Cruises and got a good rate for a cruise to Hawaii (which was awesome by the way). I'll leave the link for it in the source section |
