Which Carnival cruise is the most fun for early 20-s couple?

I am looking to go on a cruise with my girlfriend. She is 21 and I am 23. I have seen really good rates for Carnival cruises, but there were so many different cruise ships that I wanted to know - which one of them would be the most fun for a couple in their early 20s? I don't necessarily need something geared towards families (although I also don't mind being around kids) - just as long as there's alot to do on board for people our age. Thanks

PS - if there's any other cruise line suggestions that we would like better - also please let me know. But price also becomes an issue.

Thanks for the info. From what I read, some of the Carnival cruises had different on board entertainment (casinos, nightclubs, etc.) than others. Ideally I'd like one that has a nightclub that caters to a younger (under 30) crowd, as well as a casino. Which Carnival ship would be the best for this description?

You will have fun on a Carnival cruise. The ships owned by a cruise line are generally themed the same: Elegant, fun, casual, Disney, etc. The difference between ships in the same cruise line is how new they are. The newer ships are bigger and add more novel activities like a wave pool or an ice rink. For me, I like the newer ships for the same reason I'd rather have a new car. However, the ships within the same cruise line are essentially the same.

Go to a cruise search engine like at vacationstogo.com and find a couple itineraries that you like and then the questions become, "Is it worth $100 more to go on Royal Caribbean?" or "How different is a Carnival cruise from a Norwegian?"

We really enjoyed the Carnival Splendor cruise out of LA, its a Mexican Riviera one. One of the best cruises ever...

My husband and I are 29 and 28 and we enjoyed our cruise on the Carnival Valor. We went to St. Marten and St Thomas and Nassau. We love it! The ship was great as well as the entertainment and food.

The Valor also has a late night dance club that is geared towards 18-25 year olds.

Stay with ships that go to the mexian riviera, bahamas or caribbean...

when are you looking to go? for how long? what state do you live in? are either of you in the military, law enforcement or fire department? (these can offer special pricings)

Royal Caribbean is another great cruise line! (can be a little more pricey, but well worth it)

also visit cruisecritic.com to read reviews from past guests on each carnival ship.
