Royal Caribbeans Soverigen of the Seas.
I've been on her twice and loved it.
I truly believe that RC is a much better company then Carnival. I will only ever travel with RC and maybe consider a Disney Cruise one day lol.

I have been on four RC cruises and loved everything about them. I never have any doubts when taking an RC cruise, but I would with Carnival. For example, one year when I was cruiseing there was a bad storm in the ocean. RC Soverigne went around it, but the Carnival ship went right though it.
Royal Caribbean also has an AMAZING privet island with a ton of things to do called Coco Cay. It is by far my favorite place that I have ever been to. SOS is also my favorite ship that I have been on. I was on it before and after the remodel and the changes were very nice.

I'd go with Royal Caribbean, you will not be disapointed!

I have been on both ships and feel you would like Carnival's better. The rooms are much larger, there are more activites, the pools are nicers and the food better. If things haven't chnaged you get a day on RCL's at thier island which you dont get on carnival's so thats the only real difference. Have fun which ever you choose

well which one is more to your liking and flexable? I have been on cruises you either love them or hate them. I hate them . but i have heard one of the above is more flexable with meal times

I have been on both. Both ships are about the same size / age. The sensation has larger state rooms. (180sq ft to 120sq ft). The dining / service quality is about the same. I enjoyed both ships. If it were me who had to make the decision, I would make it based on which ports the ships are going to. You should be able to have a good time on eithor ship.

I think that Royal Caribbean is better overall, but if you are looking for a younger party type crowd then go with Carnival.

I'm partial to Carnival but have sailed on Royal Caribbean as well. The cabins on Carnival are larger. Royal Caribbean has a theatre. The food is about equal. What you may want to look at is the ports of call you will be visiting. A great website to help you make your choice is www.cruisecritic.com. There are numerous boards about the different cruise lines as well as information on the ports of call. Whichever you decide, have fun!! To me, cruising is the only way to vacation. :)

Royal Caribbean. For one it has great food and is less cheap than carnival. It has more activites than carnival and is a guarentee good time

My expert advice is for you to go with Soveriegn of the Seas. It depends however, on what type of person YOU are. If you would prefer a more classy environment, go with Sovereign. If you prefer a more party mass-market environment, go with Sensation. You also want to look at the ports and determine where you want to go. www.globalcruisecenters.com

Definitely the Royal Caribbean is the best way to go. If you like dressing up more, than R.C. is the choice. If you prefer a more relaxed environment with the cost of kids and toddlers around constantly, than Carnival is the choice.
P.S.- You don't really dress up on Carnival though.
