I went on my first cruise last september on the carnival valor. It was a great ship and lots of fun and always things to do. Not to mention the most bang for your buck. All you can eat all day, rooms cleaned every time you leave, the best world class service, and cool folded animal towels. Most of Carnivals Fleet aren't the big fancy ships like some other cruise companies but they name it the party ships for a reason. I liked it so much I booked another one 4 months later in January of 09 to go to mexico on the Carnival Fantasy. Don't pass up one of the best life experiences I have had. check out the website and there ships, you will not be disappointed.

What this truely comes down to is the fact that you get what you pay for! You may pay more for some cruise lines, but the overall quality and service will be reflected. If your looking for less expensive try Carnival..............Nicer and better quality.........try Royal Caribbean! Another good rule of thumb is to try to go on one of the new ships. They are always in better shape and are more impressive!

I think that CCL, RCCL and NCL are close to equal in quality. Princess and Celeb are a slight step up. I would pay more attention to the destinations than I would the cruise lines. Also the age of the ships can be important. The newer the ships, the more bells and whistles. If you are looking for lounging around the beaches, you may want to look at an Eastern carribean cruise. If you are looking for more active type of shore experiences, they you should consider western carribean. I have been on CCL, RCCL and NCL and had a blast on all of them. The food and service quality should be equal on all 3 lines. NCL offers something called freestyle dining where you do not have a set dinner time. Some people love it, others hate it. My bf and I went on our first cruise together and we went with Carnival, although we heard some negative comments from others. We had a BLAST. We wished it would have lasted longer than 8 days!! It was an unforgettable vacation and you will not be disappointed. It was fun, relaxing, and cheaper than other lines because they're not ritzy. We went for a good time not pampering, but in a way we did get pampered as well because everyone is so nice! Have a great time!! You are making me want to book another!

I would strongly suggest Norwegian Cruise Line. They are the best for all ages! They really do try to please you! They're great!

My family and i have went on several cruises before and i beleive that Royal Caribbean is the best cruise line. I would also suggest going to western carribean instead of eastern. If i was to pick a favorite of all their ships, i would say the independence of the seas.

In my opinion, Princess Cruise is the best.

I was on a Princess Cruise one year ago. There were lots of teenagers just like me. I went to the teen club about 3 times because there were so many other things I wanted to do. At the teen place they have different games (air hockey, football, and a bunch of other stuff), music (new stuff, don't worry).

Everything on Princess is kind of free, they don't force you to do anything. There are more pools then you want to count, putting course, golf simulator, entertainment (broad way, comedians, musicians, magicians....), parties every night...

I have been on 10 princess cruises, and they are the best of the lines. The most classy and elegant, we always receive the best service and experience on this line. It is not catered to children or party animals, so it's a more relaxed feeling, but you still get all that fun stuff you find on the other lines. They have the best night clubs and some of the best spas on the seas (if your into those)

I have been on other lines like Royal Caribbean (packed with people and little kids everywhere. Very noisy) and have had family who have taken Carnival (the less classy version of princess, lots of drunks and partiers)

Princess is the best by far!
