The ships that come to mind, given your question are:
Royal Caribbean's (RCI) Freedom and Voyager class ships and Carnival's Conquest class ships.
There are three Freedom class ships: Freedom, Liberty and Independence of the Seas. The Independence of the Seas is currently under construction and will enter service in the spring of 2008. These ships are 158,300 gross registered tons (GRT).
There are five Voyager class ships: Voyager, Explorer, Adventurer, Navigator and Mariner. However, I would recommend the two newest ones (Navigator and Mariner of the Seas) as they both have an expanded teen area. These ships are 138,500 GRT.
There are five Conquest class ships: Conquest, Glory, Valor, Liberty & Freedom. However, the two newest ones, Liberty and Freedom both have a very large outdoor TV screen for watching movies from the pool deck. These ships are 110,000 GRT.
Here is a picture of the movie screen on the Carnival Liberty ...

This is what the pool deck looks like on the Conquest class ships (this photo is from the Carnival Glory) ...

All the Carnival ships have a water slide, as can be seen in the pool deck photo. None of the RCI ships have a water slide suitable for teens.
Here is some more information about the teen program on Carnival ...
http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Teen_Program.aspx
Carnival offers two different teen programs. For our 12-14 year old guests, Camp Carnival offers a wide range of activities from late night movies, sports night, teen disco, Karaoke, late night swimming under the stars, scavenger hunts, and many other age appropriate activities.
15 - 17 year olds have a place all their own as well, it's called Club 0 2. This program, like Camp Carnival, was created for these older teens it was designed and dedicated to our guests in the specific age groups. The older teens get a chance to show off during a Karaoke session, pool parties, late night dances, outdoor sporting events like basketball and ping pong.
Many of our ships feature lounges which are dedicated to both age groups. Some of these lounges feature video monitors with Playstation 2 or X-Boxes, as well as comfortable seating. High energy dance floors with state of the art lighting and sound have also become a mainstay in many of our "Teen Only" lounges.
Due to these programs onboard, it is Carnival's policy to restrict anyone under the age of 18 years old into the main disco after 11 PM. Casino guests must be 18 years of age to play the tables and the slot machines. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in the casino. Guests under the age of 16 are not permitted in the spa and gym. Guests between the ages of 16 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
While none of the RCI ships have a water slide suitable for teens, all of the RCI ships mentioned above have ice skating and miniature golf. The Voyager class ships also have an inline skate track while the Freedom class ships have the Flowrider (a surfing simulator). Also, all RCI ships have a rock climbing wall.
All of the above ships (both Carnival and RCI) have multiple pools and a video arcade.

Our Navigators program is specially designed just for tweens. It's not some structured program of classes. You can come join activities and games when you want to, or just chill in our Living Room with your friends. And your parents won't worry about leaving you there, because every member of our Adventure Ocean® staff holds a college degree in education, recreation or related field and has experience working with children ages 3 - 17.

Our teen program isn't some structured set of classes or rules. We know you're almost an adult, and it's your vacation too. So we give you the freedom you deserve. You can join events all day, or come and go as you want. And we have two great places where you can get away from it all. The Living Room is a laid-back place you can just hang with your new friends. And Fuel is the place where the party is. Open 'til 2 a.m., you can dance, listen to music, or just hang out there. |

i would say either disney- which has great activities(even for teens)
or carnival.
carnival is the less expensive cruise most probably. If you love disney and everything disney, you will really enjoy the cruise ship and the people you will meet. have a good one. |

Royal Caribbean. Their ships are large, updated, with lots of onboard activities. |

Disney or Royal Caribbean.
Disney of course is a cruise ship for children and adults, but there may be more little ones running around than teens.
Royal Caribbean has arcades, teen dance clubs, computer libraries and a ton of pools and activities for teens. It's certainly not a big party ship so you won't have to worry about that.
If you are having a hard time, find a travel agent and talk with them about what activities you are looking for. They'll be such a big help even if you don't book with them. |

Having sailed with my kids on several cruise lines, and ships, I will give you not my opinion, but instead my 2 teen kids opinion. Of the 7 major cruise lines we have sailed on, my kids prefer the teen entertainment on the Carnival ships best. They also prefer to sail on the Conquest class of the Carnival ships. They enjoy the food, the entertainment, and every trip they have made friends and spent the whole trip hanging out with the teen group. We usually see them for breakfast and then they come to their cabin about 1 am.
The other cruise lines may have a more upscale decorative scheme, but for kids the entertainment is key. Carnival cruises was noted by the Travel Channel to have the best onboard entertainment (in a comparrison of all cruise lines) |

The large Carnival ships are great. All of the Carnival ships have Club O2 for teens--tons of fun (ages 15-17). Also the Royal Carribbean ones are really fun too. But don't take your teenagers on a Disney cruise... I went on that when I was nine and felt too old for it. But I've always had tons of fun on Carnival and Royal Carribbean!!! |
