Which cruise would be better for a adult family vacation?

Me and my family (all above 21 years of age) are going on a cruise vacation this September 2009. I have been put in charge of making all plans. I am thinking about either Alaska or the Caribbean. What are the pros and cons for these locations?

Alaska has GREAT pricing now. Right now you can book a 7Nt. Alaska Cruise from $329 pp. check it out here: http://www.cruisesonly.com/results.do?places=A&operator=ALL&Month=ALL&days=3&IncludeSeniorRates=false&SType=A&sort=1

However, you mentioned that you'll like to cruise on Sep. So on that note. I would say the Caribbean would be a much nicer choice. Plus, there are always great deals for Caribbean cruises.

Here are some awesome deals starting from $339pp http://www.cruisesonly.com/results.do?sort_by=1&c=ALL&v=ALL&Month=9%2F1%2F2009&places=C&days=3&price=0&port=&shoppingZipCode=&IncludeAlumniRates=&IncludeSeniorRates=&AlumniCruiseId=

Happy Travels.

If you're into scenery go to Alaska, if you're into sun sand and fun, go to the caribbean. If you want to party go on Carnival, if you want to relax go on royal, celebrity, or princess.

go to alaska. Its not that cold up there in september yet and there is still enough light outside. You guys will have to find a way to get to either Vancouver or Seattle though.

probably wont get much weather problems up there (definitely no hurricanes...)

Because of the region’s extreme climate, Alaskan cruises are only offered during the summer months (May through September).

The vast majority of Alaskan cruises are seven-day itineraries for both northbound and southbound voyages. A limited number of longer cruises – ten- to fourteen-days – may be available depending on the cruise line, some of which are round-trip voyages. Each Alaskan itinerary includes ample time cruising scenic bays, fjords, and alongside majestic glaciers as well as multiple ports of call.

All the mainstream cruise lines offer Alaskan itineraries, including Carnival, Norwegian, Princess, and Royal Caribbean. Holland America, in particular, is known for a wide variety of Alaskan cruises combined with land packages in popular “CruiseTours” that offer passengers the opportunity to experience interior Alaska with extended treks to various national parks, rail journeys, and city visits along with their cruise. These combination vacations may last up to three weeks, though the cruise itself is only a portion of that time.

Hope this helps.

If you need more information, feel free to post it on our community http://www.ucruiser.com/

Enjoy!

You will need to go early in September if your going to Alaska as that is the end of the cruise season there. If you want to go to the Caribbean, then you have to worry about hurricanes that time of Year, so I would choose Alaska. This summer, I will be going on my second time to Alaska on a cruise. My first was a cruise/tour and I loved it so much, I just had to go again, but on a different route. I highly recommend Princess cruises for your Alaska adventure. They are rated very, very high on Alaskan Cruises. I have also been to the eastern and western Caribbean, both with Princess, but not during hurricane season. It was also wonderful, especially if you love beaches, and water sports.

Caribbean in September...isn't that hurricane season. You may want to look at the other side of the US and shoot for Alaska...not sure which cruise line goes to Alaska at that time of the year. I know Carnival Spirit goes there in the summer, not sure if September counts as summer.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!
