Which month is it better for us to go to Jamaica on a carnival cruise ship? Is February or April better to go? |
My family and I are planning on leaving from Miami, Florida to board a carnival cruise ship. Both dates meaning Feb 16th and April 20th fits into our schedule. The prices are about the same. Therefore I need help in figuring out what the weather is like during these months over there. Which month should we choose to go in? |

February will probably end up being cheaper in the end, due to the way Carnival prices their cruises, i.e. by the number of cabins sold vs. the sailing date. Also, if you go in Frebruary you will avoid Spring Breakers, which is a good thing to do, especially in Jamaica which is a hot spot. |

The months between November and the end of May will Keep you clear of hurricanes. Depending on when Easter hits in a calendar year, April could be more expensive. The cruise lines prices drop when school is in session (Higher prices for summer, Easter, Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving). Depending on where you live in the country, February could be a better month as far as the temperature in Jamaica. I like to cruise in the winter months for the United States because the temperature is cold in my hometown and not so hot in the Caribbean. The temperature in Jamaica during April could be hot. The price of the cruise could be lower in April or February depending on Sales. If sales are low, the cruise line will reduce the cost to entice more peopel to cruise. I would choose February because the temperatures will start to rise by April. |
