Carnival Customer service is a joke. No one ever answers and even when they do they are worthless. Did Carnival offer you a price/ discount and then change it for some reason. They offer the discounts to get you to book and then change the price to screw you over. They should not be in business if they are just going to screw you over. FIND ANOTHER CRUISE LINE. Carnival SUCKS REAL BAD |

You shouldn't write these things when you are mad as it is hard to follow what has actually happened. Typically the only reason a cruiseline, including Carnival, wants your airline information is for arrival to make sure you can make the ship. If they were running some kind of promotion tied to the airlines then changed the rules on you they might have violated consumer fraud laws. Carnival operates out of Florida and is subject to Florida and US laws. You can contact the consumer affairs division of the Florida Attorney Generals office and file a complaint. I would recommend that you contact Carnival first and let them know your intentions...they may suddenly have a change of heart. |

It sounds like your situation is unique, and may have confused the cust service rep. My suggestion would be that you talk to a supervisor. Carnival usually has great cust service. The prices on all cruises with all cruise lines can change up to 6 times per day, depending on occupancy. So the price changes dont surprise me. When you find the price you want- book it, It could change. Work directly through the cruise line for the best price, you can search for a lower price and the cruise line will match it. Dont let one bad experience stop you, just go higher up to a supervisor for a solution.
Hope this helps, you can also look for more info at this great yahoo group.

Interesting question - I have traveled on Carnival many times and have not had any problems with price quotes or charges. Maybe you should try using a travel agent next time. If you are a AAA member they can get all the cruise information ready for you. You might try calling them back and asking for a supervisor's attention to your problem. |

Carnival and some other cruise lines have very bad customer service. They do so much business that they just don't care anymore.
I suggest you contact Carnival one more time and if they don't give you the correct answer contact the Better Business. When given a bad rate by the Better Business they will contact you on how to resolve the problem. |

Perhaps you should change companies. Obviously, 'Carnival' do not care enough about the client to double check things. I wish I could reccomend another company to you, but I dont know any.. sorry! But I would say switch companies to one where they at least say that they care.. |

Carnival Cruise lines is the bottom of the Cruise Industry... they appeal to the unwashed and not well traveled masses... their boats are crap and their employees uneducated and crude. Carnival has almost the worst reputation in the Cruise industry. |
