Yes now you are able to use your cell phones on cruises, but not all phones work at sea. Most of the cruise lines have contracts with the major carriers but the only one that seems to actually work is at&t. Also the price to use your phone on the ship is so high that its not really worth it. The price is usually over $2.00 per minute, on one cruise I took the price was 2.99 per minute. |

Well I did one in 2005 and 2007 and I still wasn't able to use mine. I was on the Carnival Pride and the Elation. It was okay though for me because I could forget about my normal life for a week and have a good time with the people I was with! |

Yes you can use your cell throughout the entire cruise now. At least on the Carnival Valor you can. It is considered roaming though, so it is pretty expensive. |

They should work, but you want to check with your cell phone carrier and the cruise line. They may have hefty fees for using cell phones at sea.
I know we just got back from one and it was $2.95 per minute roaming charges, plus per minute fee, plus the cruise had their own fee.
So check it out before you call! |
