Most cruise lines and ferries have a local cell onboard ship so you can make calls with your mobile while at sea. However, like everything onboard ship it is expensive. Check with the line and ask for costs.
Once you are near the Norwegian coast, you should have no problems logging onto a Norwegian network. You may need to select the network manually to avoid using the expensive one on the ship. |

you need to call your cell phone carrier and ask them specifically.
most of the time you would need an international phone that would work outside your home country.

I would have to say probably not. Unless you're near a cell phone tower it probably wouldn't work. Certain ships do have connections onboard, but most likely they would not. If you're at a port of call chances are it would work, depending on your cell phone provider.

most if not all have Internet, that can be your back up if it will work for if your mobile does not work. it depend what port you are in. |

depends on whether or not the area you are in will pick up the relevant network for that country. if so then yes. but the charges will be different for calls and text sent@ recieved |
