Will we like this cruise?

Me (13), My mom(43). my dad(47), and my grandma(79) are going on the Carnival Conquest June 7th. My mom and I are all about having fun, while my dad is about that, but he also wants the cruise to be somewhat luxurious with better than just 'edible' food (yes he's like an old grandpa! LOL) while my grandma, is just like a normal grandma. Do you think that we will like this cruise?

the food is amazing, it wont be just edible, it will be scrumptious and no one will ever miss a meal and can eat 24 hrs a day if you wanted, but you will be full after each meal. have fun

You'll all have a blast!

And your Dad - well if he isn't used to eating gourmet food all the time, he'll think the Carnival chefs are the tops. So don't worry about that - there will be plenty of food and for your formal dinners in the main dining room, well the food there will be a treat and somewhat exotic (if you're not used to gourmet dining).

However, if he does go to gourmet dinners all the time, he may be somewhat disappointed. Why? Well Carnival Chefs are awesome, but they are not the best (in my and many other people's opinion).

For exquisite gourmet dining, sail on a Celebrity Cruise ship - and partake their Specialty Dining Restaurants.

I have been on two cruises in my life.. one was a Disney cruise when I was 13 like you, the other a Royal Caribbean 3 years ago, when I was 20.

Though I have never been on a Carnival cruise I have heard that other cruise lines are "better" than them more in the aspect of it being luxurious. Sounds like you, your mother and grandmother will have a grand old time but dad might not see it as this luxurious vacation he had in mind.

You will all have fun regardless I am sure, but it might just not be what each of you had in mind, that's all.

Don't go into it stressing whether or not it will be fun or you'll freak yourself out. I don't know that there is such thing as a not fun cruise unless it involved some serious mishap.

Relax, and have fun!

Well with me if they have the all you can eat breakfast buffet, endless pizza and ice cream. Im in!

While carnival is the most "luxurious" cruise line...you will be impressed with the formal dinners. The food at the buffets is mass produced and you won't be that impressed but it is edible.

The best and most luxurious cruise lines cost a lot more than Carnival!
