A big "thank you" to the Muslims living in our country? |
A mass prayer by Muslim Communities of Immigrants (Egyptians, Syrians, Pakistanis etc) living and working in our country has taken place, for Allah to spare and help our country which they consider as their own second country of birth.
They also offered their partecipation to rebuilding of what has been burnt with no payment whatsoever...
Many of them were wearing the traditional prayer costumes of their coutries and they were really believing what they were doing and saying....
I personally thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
You? Additional Details What makes me sad is that Church (which hasn't done anything yet to confort the fire victims) denies them the right to have their own Mosque somewhere in Athens... |

That's very touching. At the same time I just saw on Turkish television that Greek Red Cross refused aid from Turkish Red Crescent. All the trucks loaded with aid and waiting at Ipsala border are returning. I cannot believe this happened.
I have been reading the comments of Turkish people on the internet versions of newspapers. They are all expressing their sympathies and saying how sad they are. Some are even criticising the Turkish government for not acting earlier to help.
Yesterday and today every Turkish Cypriot I talked to had this sadness in their faces. They felt as if it was their own forests burning. They all felt sorry for the lives lost.
Our prayers are for you. |

Dellarovere i appreciate the multiculture and people coming together to help eachother despite their cultural,religious,.... differences. I think our differences shouldn't seperate us but connect us. |

History teaches us that Orthodox Cristians and Muslims are very close. And I don't mean the Leaders of the Church but the people. In Egypt St. George is worshiped by Muslims too, in Turkey Mary's house and Soumela Monastery were and still are holly places.
Bellow the surface of formal religion there is always the people's belief which is common in mediterranean countries.
As common is pain, friendship, maternity, death.
Thank you too, Muslim brothers, may Allah be with you. |

May I also express my thanks to the Muslims immigrant Communities (Egyptians, Pakistanis, Syrian, Palestinians Albanians, and others) who massively pray for Greece.
It is very touching and as Greek orthodox Christian I am deeply moved by their gesture!
(anlarm we haven't got any information that help was refused!!! Are you sure??) |

No need to use eyes to see good will leads to good men and that leads a better world.
A big heart is enough to see everything. |

your words are fair and kind.
i felt i was far from Greece, and wanted to help.
the only thing i could do was pray for its safety , and sparing its people further losses.
i was glad when my prayer was answered.
we must have humanitarian feelings for all members of humanity . |

Thanks to u too for this entry too , i wanted to show u a link to a question i posted days ago on "books and authors "category, about writing my new piece in Arabic"i am like to write short stories" and i got racist comments calling me a hack on the writers , for my poor English , though i use it only to communicate !they bashed me for my poor English , by calling me an idiot who steals ideas , a hack ..etc
only for my grammer and spelling typos , i got these comments!
this question got reported and deleted and imagine those who gave me those comments r Americans , who can't speak or write english proberly, they r the most people who distorted the image of English language!
