well firstly Ankara isn't in the middle east and secondly its colder due to its location compared to the other cities.
if you compared the temperatures of London, Stockholm, Reykjavik, Moscow and Dublin then it will be the warmest

Ankara isn't in the Middle East geographically. If you really must call it something, you can use the term Asia Minor.

But mountainous regions in the north of Iraq should be very very cold. Populous cities won't really show coldest temperatures, Alexander of Athens.

PS. Like ithink... said, Kars should be the coldest in Turkey, but that's near the Caucasus region, again not Middle East.

I'm really sorry I have to disappoint you when you want to see Turkey in Middle East.

First of all, Ankara is not in the Middle East. Second of all, your list only proves that Ankara had the lowest registered temperature, not that it's the coldest city in general. I think you should look at the average temperatures for that, not the lowest ones.

Hello Augustus

Turkey is not in the Middle East!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East#Territories_and_regions

Therefore, your conclusion is wrong.

dingdong
hi, where is Ankara where is ryad. can u see how different these cities to each other? Ankara is not in middle east geographically and culturally. and why are you asking this question!

From that list, yes, Ankara would be the coldest city.

you say middle east like you want to put Ankara with bagdad in the same bag.i d say you ve never been in the region.plus more than you want to know about the coldest city in the mid east but you want people to say Ankara is not in the middle east.
The way you think is sick.because you write down all the temperatures cant you compare.
you are a waste.i d like to discuss w you around a table.probably i d spit on your ***** face the first minute and i d leave.

there must be colder cities... how about Ezurum or Kars for the coldest cities in Turkey? About the coldest in the Middle East I have no idea.

Tinribs
Interesting, that you lump Ankara with the Middle East, especially as they are trying to get into the European Market.
