You are so pathetic...
Everyone knows that
a. gyros is not even greek, it's turkish (doner)
b. greek cuisine is the richest (we even eat a variety when we eat, not a single plate) and healthiest in the world, and that has been proven in many studies. |

First, taste Greek cuisine.
Then, you will answer this question for yourself.
Here's an example of what Greeks know how to make:

We just returned from 10 days in Greece. Lunch and dinner x10=20 meals. We avoided eating the same thing twice and ate at as many different restaurants as we could. We had only one meal that was disappointing, not bad, just not as good as the others. We have been to 17 foreign countries and Greece is near the top all around. Food wise it's the best. |

I guess that's a bit like asking if British only know how to make fish and chips or Italians pizza. Greek cuisine has an incredible variety of dishes - and not just what you find in most Greek restaurants abroad. And most of it is extremely healthy as well as being delicious.
If you're really interested, you could visit the blog Authentic Greek Recipes - http://realgreekrecipes.blogspot.com - which is regularly updated with Greek recipes as they are actually cooked in the country.
All the best |

Gyros in Greece (delish as they might be) are only meant to be a quick fix, And are just the very tip of the iceberg as far as hellenic cuisine is concerned. mousaka, pastitsio, dolmadakia, saganakia, lamb with lemon sauce, and yemista to name only a few are all mastered in Greece. |

No. There is baklava. But that's all. Oh, yeah, there's a salad, too, but it has fish in it. So, no, gyros and baklava. That's it. |
