I hate to generalize, but the honest answer is no.

They are not very faithful and not good for long-term marriage (generally).

You might get lucky and find the 1 decent girl out of 100. The Russians are very liberal when it comes to sex and lovers. It's not unusual for a man to keep a lover or two. Divorce is among the highest in the world (maybe the highest when you correct for couples who don't officially marry).

Be especially careful if she has an ex-husband or boyfriend. They may go to her "for old times sake" while she is engaged to you. If they move to a Western country, they tend to stray once they have a permanent visa.

That's the truth based on my experiences and observations. I don't dissuade you from trying so long as you know what you're doing.

Any woman can be loyal, love you unconditional, flirt, cheat etc... its all about the type of person you encounter.

russia's value system has suffered immensly in communist times, and the new "survival of the meanest" mafia state is no better. If she grew up in Russia, beware.

I can't understand why many people think that Russian girls would do anything to live in the USA. First of all, it depends on a person. If a girl has a goal to marry an American guy only for this reason, a man should understand it communicating with her (definitely, in person, not through Internet). The other thing is if the girl is from a big Russian city, she will never change it for something like a small American town as she is used to live in a city with big buildings and good opportunities (especially, if it is Moscow, St. Petersburg etc).
Russian girls (even those who are materialistic and about money) are looking for our Russian rich men First!!!
I personally fell in love with a guy from the USA who came to my country 3 times before we got married. But believe me, if I had a chance to assure him to move to my country, I would be the happiest person ever. Definitely, living here for 2 years I have been adjusted to many things. Besides, I didn't have any problem with English as it is my profession. Of course, even if it is mutual love, it will be a difficult transition for the girl who has been brought up in different cultural realms and language.

They move abroad to get married to a good guy, not to move abroad. Any normal girl from there will only marry you if you are the man they want to spend their life with, so if you are loyal and treat her well, she will return it times 10.

I'd advise staying away from the divorced single moms though.

Many would do anything to get financial security especially now that the recession has started. So right now most of them probably aren't.

It depends on how you treat her. If you love her and respect her she will never cheat on you. Some Americans marry Russian girls to have little slaves at home. We are not used to this kind of relationship! I am a Russian married to a Bulgarian guy, who will never abandon me.I know, he is the only man who cares about me and truly loves me. So I will never cheat on him, I will always be on his side no matter what.

Well I seem to be having a problem with my Russian wife. I think she is seeing someone, but from here it is hard to prove. She keeps more secrets then the KGB or CIA.
I do not see a real good loyalty. I ponder ion Divorce.
Best would be to Marry from the Ukraine, because Russia you have to have a invitation from your wife to go there and if she doesnt want you there , then you are out.

remember, they are from a different culture, which always brings about surprises and misunderstandings at best.
based on their background and upbringing, they tend to have materialistic tendencies. this is naturally a generalization, but I would go into any relationship with wide open eyes. for many, to live in the US is still a goal they will strive for.

It's not so much where someone is from.Not all Russian women cheat,lie or are money hungry.I have dated some very nice Russian ladies who were sweethearts.I've also dated American ladies who lie,cheat and are money hungry.It's not where you are from it's how you were raised and how you are as a person.Russian,American whatever,it's the persons character not where they are from.

My ex was American and she went back to her first love and cheated on me,so it all depends on the person.On average the Russian ladies I have dated in my life have been very smart and caring people,one thing I will say is Russian women truly care about their looks and always look beautiful.In other words they take pride in them self.

If you are dating someone from Russia,or talking with them online as with anyone use caution and have an open mind.Use common sense cause there are some people (esp online) who want your money or lie to you.
