Are the bathrooms in Europe nicer than the ones In the United States? (I know, weird question)?

I remember reading an article about how the bathrooms in England or somewhere are a lot nicer. They have stalls that don't have gaps on the bottom so there's a lot of privacy. (and curious kids can't crawl under them) Is this true?
Additional Details
lol. Well it freaked me out a few times (yes, it happened more than once) when some toddlers stick their head into the stall.

The bathrooms I encountered in and around Barcelona were the most disgusting I've ever seen. There was often no toilet paper, the toilet seats were usually missing, and there was too often pee all over the toilet and floor. This was also the case for bathrooms in decent restaurants, which in the US (in my experience) are usually clean.

But!.. I think the stalls had smaller gaps at the bottom.

edit: How interesting two answerers commented on the orderliness of German bathrooms.

Emasculated Britain
"Bathroom" in England is a word which exclusively refers to a room containing a bath, and is not a euphemism for the toilet.

I don't know, I've never been to America so I've only ever used European toilets. It just depends where you go, in the UK it completely depends in what kind of building you are in. Like in nice restaurants they have amazing toilets, some pubs do as well and bars etc.

i noticed this when i go to Germany, they are immaculate!
i don't know about England, but here in U.S. we definitely need to tidy up the loo!!

what a question!
lololololol
so, i guess there's a lot of curious kids crawling under stalls in USA!

what a country!

After closing Guantanamo prison and create a national health service Obama will solve this serious problem with gangs of kids terrifying american bathrooms!

There are some really disgusting toilets in England - you obviously haven't been in a pub after 9pm

Most sanitary in England is purchased from Armitage or similar, check their website and see for yourself (something like thebluebook.com).

i think most of europe has nicer bathrooms. when i went to germany the bathrooms in berlin were soo clean and nice. mostly because they have bathroom attendants who you tip a little. but they are nice and they have automatic stuff. and on the street sometimes there are ones that you insert money and then use it and when youre done and out it cleans itself completely for the next person. its cool. i deff like the bathrooms over there more from what i saw.

Dizzybyname
Well the water pressure here for the shower is certainly more powerful than in the States :)

joshinda
English ones are much nicer because the Queen never farts...

It would really depend on where you are. Some bathrooms are just a hole in the ground. No toilet whatsoever and the worst paper ever.
