Are there any pig farms in Turkey?

I think Fatih asked me in one of the questions as to whether there are pig farms in Turkey or what my sources may be or something like that.
I found this article
http://www.sabah.com.tr/2004/04/01/gnd104.html
and I suggest you enter "domuz ciftligi" in google.
What do you think about the existence of pig farms in Turkey?
Additional Details
Hold on MrsTj!!
Migros and Carrefour have products with pig meat in them. I don't think only Non-Muslims eat that kind of meat in Turkey.

We don't like pigs but some people eat them.
As for the religion; alcohol is forbidden for Muslims too but
I guess at least 20% of Muslims in Turkey drink alcohol.
What I don't understand is that people don't have any problems with consuming alcohol but they almost strictly avoid eating pork. Both of them are forbidden in Quran, so I don't know how people clear their concience? As far as health disasters are concerned I think both are dangerous and unhealthy. I also read in a scientific magazin that the pig cells are very much like human cells and they would be interchangeable.

As far as I know there are a few pig farms in Turkey. They produce pork for certain customers.

Yes, there is of course there is. My father is a veterinary.
Pig is an animal like all the other animals. In Turkey there are foreigners, people who are Turkish and eating ham , there are a lot of religions and beliefs so i don't understand why there will not be. this is not surprising for me. And i really don't care about what people are eating because eating or not eating a certain thing will not make you better or worse than other people. It is only your heart, your actions make you good or bad not what you eat.

i think pig meat going to hotels etc... i never seen in supermarkets selling pork.and it says in the package ''urunlerimizin hic birinde domuz eti ve yagi yoktur''.. so it doesn't really bother me, there are non Muslims in turkey too. so they are free to eat pork

edit; even if they have they write that 'its pork in it' on the package . so you cant eat pork by mistake.. no problem about that...

hm mm i always read ingredients ,

yeah,of course there are pig farms in Turkey too,but the meat of the pig is mostly exported to other countries, only a small percentage of the meat is used in Turkey for non-muslims or the muslims who prefer to eat pig meat,As you say you can find pig products in hypermarkets like carrefour.

In markets, the pork products exist in a seperate stand, so that people will not mistake them for the other types of meat products. There are many people who would make a big deal out of this. Remember the risotto incident? Duh!

There are too many people who wouldn't mind tasting pork products. You have to remember that many people are only "statistically" Muslim, because some busybody Registration Officer thought it his duty to write "Islam" in the religion column of a newborn. If atheists and agnostics lived in total freedom, I think those "statistics" would change radically, at least in non-traditional places.

Also, the Islam practiced in Turkey isn't Taliban Islam. How else can you explain the fact that Konya is the place where rakı consumption per person is the highest?
