they are proud of their roots in every aspect, it doesnt have to be islamic or non islamic. this is turkeys biggest problem, being pulled both from east and west. yes, the majority is muslim but its not an islamic country like saudi or kuwait. turkey doesnt have religion, countries should not have religion. its a personal thing. so, turks are proud of all of their past.

NO but I am greatly proud of my Turkish Routs this does not mean I don't like Muslims or I don't like Christians,Jews etc. I just belive that Islam is what brought us down once and I don't wan't to see ti again even atatÃ¼rk was not a Musim (he was teoreticly but don't go giving be thumbs down) he new Islam was one of the ottoman empires biggest problem and he reduced it as much as any one man could.

PS:I am Turkish livening in Turkey etc.
