There was one of the "James Bond" movies too, probably with Sean Connery, but I don't remember exactly the name.

Jackie Chan's "the accidental spy" It is set in South Korea, Hong Kong, and mostly in Istanbul Turkey....it's "kind of" funny like any other Chan's movies however wouldn't recommend it (if you haven't watched it yet)....I had no choice 'cause there were nothing else to do in the plane over the Atlantic Ocean :p

How about the "Sharpe" series most of that was filmed in Turkey.
I think one of the bond films was Octopussy. mr bean was in it fooling around a market in Istanbul.

and I think Val is right about the African Queen. I heard the same storey on a pleasure boat that left from turtle beach near Marmaris.

Hi, Eastern Promises which was out last year has a Turkish Family in it. It takes place in the UK. Some of the scenes are in Turkish with subtitles.

Topkapi (1964), Midnight Express (1978), Travels With My Aunt (1972), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), etc etc.

There must be loads of films about classical Greece and Rome that would include bits of Turkey, similarly films set in the Crusades or depicting bible stories (St Paul was from Tarsus) and so on. Cappadoccia has been used as a location in some science fiction/fantasy films but I can't remember the titles, sorry.
