Seven members pulled their names from the measure Monday and four more as of Tuesday, leaving passage of the bill in doubt. The rapid erosion signals momentum has shifted in favor of Turkey and the Bush administration, which has urged the Democratic leadership to block a vote on the resolution, reported from the House Foreign Affairs Committee last week.

Seems that the Japanese don't want to know about the atrocities their military committed against both prisoners of war & those under Japanese occupation in world war two.

Then there are those Germans still disbelieving of the atrocities committed against the minorities they tried to eliminate in the same world conflict !

Turkey cannot rewrite history & the more you refuse to accept the truth regarding the Armenian genocide the more you will stand condemned !

Don't take any comfort from the politicing that comes out of the U.S. in a pre election lead up...IT HAPPENED !

Personally speaking , my Grandmother was the only one of her immediate family to escape with her life so don't lecture me that it didn't happen !
