MALTA - *Passport with minimum validity of six months required. Visa not required for stay of up to 90 days (extension must be applied for prior to end of 90-day period or expiration of original visa while in Malta), except for the residents of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Residents of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands need a visa. Visa requires 1 application form, 2 photos, proof of onward/return ticket, and $40 fee (check or money order). Transit visa available for $30 fee (fees are non-refundable). For additional information, consult the Embassy of Malta, 2017 Conn. Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20008 (202/462-3611/2) or nearest Consulate: CA (415/468-4321), MI (313/525-9777), MO (816/833-0033), MN (612/228-0935), NY (212/725-2345), PA (610/664-7475), or TX (713/428-7800 or 214/777-4463).

All U.S. citizens must have a valid passport to enter Malta. No visa is required for stays up to 90 day.

Its part of the European Union now. If you are in England its the Malta High Commission NOT Embassy and their number is 0207 2924800 Extn. 4821 They are in Piccadilly....I think the road in Pall Mall but am not sure.

Malta is part of the EU, but not yet the Schengen area, so the general EU rules on visa do not apply. Anyway, the citizens of a number of coutnries, amoung them the USA, may visit Malta for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa in advance.

Current information is that you do not need a visa but always check with the appropriate government websitte befoire making any travel arrangements
