Europe is amazing and extremely varied - just need a few more clues as to what you want to do and how much you have to spend!
Hot, cheap, beaches, lively, ancient ruins and modern art - has to be Greece (Islands) or southern Spain. Croatia's getting there but not quite there (and is relatively expensive); Italian beach resorts too quiet (and relatively expensive). The Algarve (Portugal) has nothing in the way of art or culture to offer; Slovenia's not got much in the way of beaches and isn't hot; the south of France is expensive and nightlife for singles and young couples sucks (summer is when families descend to the coasts). Malta is too sedate and accommodation choices are limited (expensive). |

Southern Spain! Beaches, history art.. A LOT of drinking! Great people, great atmosphere, and you get to siesta every day!! The nightlife is amazing, and if you like to be up late, there are after-after parties. Plan on staying up til 7 in the AM. (And you have to check out a bullfight, at least once!) |
