Kazimierz Dolny.Small town founded in the 14th century by Polish king Kazimierz Wielki has only recently become a major turist attraction. Nowadays it is fashionable to visit Kazimierz, it might be just for a weekend, but it is a must, especially if you stay in Warsaw. For years this picturesque town has attracted all different kinds of artistic souls: poets, writers, painters, sculpturers, musicians who still live and work there, taking nearly no notice of the wondering aroung turists.

There is not just one best city in Poland. It depends on your personal preferences and interests. Warsaw is developing in businesses and industries. It is a beautiful city. The people on the streets are friendly and always willing to help. The architecture is amazing. The parks are clean. Many entertainment choices. Hundreds of discos and bars. I've been living here only a few months and I love Warsaw.

KRAKOW!!! I just studied there this summer and it was the greatest experience ever!!! Gdansk is also pretty, Swinoujscie, or Zakopane is also worth seeing.

Krakow in my opinion is the best city, Zakopaine is more of a town to me.
KarlJames- so according to you i am un American to travel outside the US? I think your just jealous but don,t worry! if you work hard you can get promoted from toilets to french Fry's at your MC Donald's job then in a few years you can travel to.

If you don't wont to go to Krakow, so maybe: Kazimierz Dolny, Sandomierz,Wroclaw,GdaĹ„sk,Gdynia,Malbork

I agree with the answer about there being no best city. Each one has its own culture, and it partly depends on your own interests as to which you'll like.

I personally think Gdansk is brilliant because of the modern history - but that's mostly because I studied modern history. Gorzow Wielkopolska is also amazing, because it's realy Poland. Not a tourist trap like Zakopane, but a real place with real Polish people living real Polish lives. You can go for a long walk by the river, go through the market, etc, and really experience a wonderful country.

Krakow is beautiful, but i prefer Gdansk and Gdynia

Any city that isn't 100 percent American isn't a city worth mentioning. Its anit American people like you that make this country what it is.
