Brussels or Barcelona?

I got accepted in Brussels and Barcelona for MBA program. I'm not quite sure where to go. Can someone tell me pros and cons of both the cities? Where would you want to live? Which city is more expensive?

Take Barcelona!
Not Brussels here in Belgium you would be disappointed, it's cold rains and not good to live here and more expensive then Spain.

Hi, go to Barcelona. I lived in both towns. Brussels is nice, but Barcelona has more to offer. Better weather, the beach, splendid architecture.. Brussels is a really interesting town, but just in all way more 'grey'. Pity to say, being a belgean, but that's the way I smell it.

Enjoy your stay and travel as much as you can in Europe.,

Barcelona has way more cool stuff to see in the actual city.

But Brussels has better beer. Ahhh Kriek bier...yum.

Another good think about Brussels is that you are more centrally located to hop a train and get to more of Europe to travel around. I would also think an MBA program may be a better choice to go with in Brussels.

Oh, but in Barcelona... they do have those daily siestas.

I'm French, and I live in Brussels for 6 years. I really love living here, but if I had to make the choice for 1 or 2 years, I would definitly choose Barcelona. Brussels is really a great place to live, but I miss the sun and the sea!!!!!

Whatever your choice is, I hope you'll enjoy your stay in Europe!

not sure, ive heard good things about both. Barcelona is where everything happens as for as any entertainment goes. My husband and I are planning to go there (Barc) in march.

I lived 20 years in Brussels and my language is French so I would go for Barcelona...
For the climate, to learn Spanish, meet the Spanish and Catalan people and so on...
However, if you want to be in the centre of a lot of things, Brussels is maybe easier: geographically for example, you are about 3 short hours of Amsterdam, a little more to London (5), 3 hours from Paris and so on...
It depend very much upon your interest in culture too...
One is related to the late middle age the other looks very more 19 and 20 centuries...
Then, I can not deny that Brussels is quite expensive but I don't know about Barcelona...
Brussels is expensive due to the presence of the Common market, you see!
Barcelona is of course a very attractive place...

Not sure if you mean Brussels, Germany or Brussels, Belgium...
But Barcelona is awesome. It's sunny and warm and there are great beaches, shopping, nightlife, restaurants (especially if you like seafood!), and public transportation. The subway in Barcelona is easier to use (in my experience at least) than Belgium's public transit. I've never been to Brussels, Germany, but I'd rather go back to Barcelona than Brussels, Belgium because there is just soooo much more to do in Barcelona.
