There are good links between the two countries.
In the 1890’s the fatal hours of the Armenians, a Danish scientist and traveler Aage Benedictsen visited ancient Urfa.
There he witnessed the consequences of the atrocities committed by the Ottoman superiority, collected information and accounts from eyewitnesses.
In this way he caught interest in Armenian history and culture and began to disseminate information about the human disaster that had devastated the Armenians in far Anatolia.
Later Benedictsen wrote an exhaustive work covering the complete Armenian history up till 1925. His humanistic values and his veneration for the Armenian branch of Christianity can best explain the empathy that characterizes his scientific works about Armenia.
Many elderly Danes remember Armenia from these days and how they heard about Armenia in their childhood and witnessed the supportive spirit among Danes towards Armenia.
This supportive spirit is still present among many people, but the Armenian situation has totally changed now and a continued effort to update people’s ideas about Armenia is needed.
The principles of the Danish Armenian Mission’s presence in Armenia can be described in the following way:
it is the Armenian Church that has the spiritual responsibility for her people, therefore the meaning of the Danish Mission activities is to support the Armenian Church to engage in her mission in Armenia and not to build a separate Danish spiritual outreach or place for alternative gatherings.
It is a central part of this presence that the Danish Church acknowledges the Armenian Apostolic Church and that it highly appreciates the spiritual as well as cultural experience and contribution of the Armenian Church and people in the international fellowships of Churches and peoples in the world today. |

I think the major different is.....ready?
They are blond and we are not(at least most of us)
They are hair less (body wise).
We are the opposite...God was generous in that department.
Our friends gave you answers already! |

Just a few differences ...
Denmark doesn't have any mountains, but has an extremely long coast line (compared to area). Denmark has been a kingdom since Danes were vikings and is a country recognized by international organizations (member of UN, EU, IMF, etc.).
Both Danes and Armenians are "people" or nationalities, not races. |

above i have found these two site, i am sure there are more.
There is only one highest reality and many teachers.
All humans and life arise from the same one source.
All countries, religions and institutions arise from that.
There are many books of wisdom from many ages.
Thinking there is only one way comes from ignorance.
Coercive conversion is violence against other peoples
The goal of life is found within, not in institutions
Wisdom, joy and freedom come from inner stillness
Love all, as we all waves of the one ocean.
i do not remember who wrote this but i like it. |

Why did you choose Denmark? Why couldn't it be like Sweden? Well anyway, to answer the question I think the only difference is that Danish people are like giants and compared to them, Armenians are midgets. |

Soccermaster, you say we are smarter than a bird? I think we Danes are smarter than that, we have many intellectuals that hail from Denmark.
I do not know about Armenia at all but we Danes are friendly people and mentally we do not discriminate, because we respect everybody. Our culture is rich and diverse as seen in the number of museums we have. You should visit one of the cities, you will know. |
