Yes, you can use it to get cash, but Nationwide will be cheaper as there are no charges.
Frank- DO NOT USE CREDIT CARDS TO GET CASH, it is very expensive. Some Credit cards can be cheaper for purchases, but only use debit cards to get cash.

Rose
Yes.

yes, but they will charge you for that. try to open Nationwide account: they don't charge if you use your card abroad

old know all
Yes. Lloyds TSB will impose a charges of about 3%. (It may appear as a charge in your bank statement or it might be hidden as a lousy exchange rate).

If you open a Nationwide Flexaccount (you can do it online and don't have to close your Lloyds TSB account) you can use their debit card in foreign ATMs and just the sterling equivalent at a commercial exchange rate gets debited to your account.

dick19532003
yes you can and most large resorts have plenty of cash points.
just take care putting in the amount as its easy to ask for too much by putting in too many 0's.

Yes, but if you open an account with Nationwide no charge is made on overseas cash withdrawals.

Yes but you may incur several sets of costs including;
Exchange rate. you will have no choices on this if you choose the card and it will most probably be higher than other exchange outlets and methods.
Cash withdrawl payment. Up to 2.5% of amount.
