Cyprus is lovely for families, better if you can hire a car though.Loads to see and do.-They have a water shortage at the moment though.

Hi, Yes Limassol has nice beaches, and please don't get me wrong i love Limassol but Protaras would be better for you with children. The beaches in Protaras are beautiful. I don't know if it it still the same but Governors Beach just outside of Limassol they make you pay to go onto the beach, and it's dark sand. Hire a car while you are over in Cyprus they drive on the same side of the road as in UK, there are some beautiful places to visit. I will be there in September.

There are the tourist beaches in Limassol but between the docks and Akrotiri peninsula is a beach called Ladies Mile which is off the tourist trail. Of course it depends what you are looking for. Also good beaches in Pissouri

as far as i am aware the beach is nice but further up the coast is aya napa and protaras which both have fantastic beaches and btw cyprus is great for kids and id consider hireing a car as they drive on the felt as in uk. if you do hire a car dont hire from your holiday rep they charge much more and the local one's are usually fine and cheaper.

Lemesos is ok, there are some good beaches, but Protaras, is much nicer, and a little less commercialised.....good for families ( I live in Xylofagou, Cyprus....not far from Agia Napa!)

Yes, there are lots of great beaches - see the website below for their names. However, the ones near the hotels can get very crowded in the summer months, so you might like to hire a car so you can get out to the less busy beaches, away from the crowds.

Many people (including me) reckon the very best beaches in Cyprus are actually in North Cyprus, so if you haven't booked yet, do take a look at holidays in the North. Kids are always welcome here and prices are less than in the south, so it might save you cash too!

Have fun in the sun, whichever part of Cyprus you choose. And yes, please be careful with your water usage when you are here!
