Maybe you should decide what you want to do with your life first. You'd like to be a banker AND a barmaid? At least I know the answer to that one. You'd be hardpressed to find a banking job, but there are British girls working in bars in Marmaris. You may try your luck there. |

I would fly to Turkey for a holiday only unless you was working for an English company. Marmaris has many young Turkish men desperate for work who will and do work very long hours for very very little pay. Someone I knew had worked for a month then the boss refused to pay them and he couldn't do anything about because he was English...don't do it!!! |

No, the Turkish Ministry of Labour has been cracking down on foreigners working illegally down on the coast. You wouldn't be making enough to survive anyway--600 YTL/month if you're lucky. |

Yes, you can...
In Marmaris, I don't know, but in Bodrum and Kusadasi there are some bars who belong to Brits, so you can ask them... |

Yes just turn up and look for a job. As native English speaker you have a chance in bars, beaches and hotels which serves mostly foreign visitors. But not 4-5 stars. Big resorts do not want to provide illegal jobs. It must be small hotel or bar or beach. Bear in mind, those jobs are illegal. Meaning without registration, social security and taxes. Most Turkish seasonal workers like barmen and musicians are working in that way. |

The wages are terrible and as you say it is illegal.Usually someone(with a grudge) will make a call to the local police and they will come and you'll be fined and in some cases deported and quite rightly so.Unemployment is rife and there are plenty of young Turks needing jobs.. |

You can stay in Turkey for up to three months with the visa u pay Β£10 for at the airport which everyone who enters the country has to pay! But if you are going to work there yopu have to get a proper work visa before you go from the Turkish embassy. Here are a few websites that may help you. Hope you have a nice summer working there if u go xxx
