are you afraid to eat the food there or just want to bring some? They have the best food in Greece so if that is the reason, leave it home and try some culture. |

They sell those things in Greece- why waste luggage space? |

You can, I took haggis, cheese sauce mixes, custard mixes, bacon, slice sausage, spices and much more and no one bothered with it.
They want your cash when on holiday so won't bother you !!
Oh and enjoy your stay !!! |

You can - but why would you? Pasta and rice is the staple diet of many Greek households - if you wanted to take something that you can't get in Greece - like decent tea bags - then go for it - but pasta/rice - waste of kilos! Buy it in Rhodes - Greece has some excellent brands - miskos (for e.g) and also supermarket brands/Italian brands.
My sister knows lots of Greek students in UK and one mother arrived with 2 kilos of feta and a whole octopus! I kid you not!
And my sis makes us bring Greek gateaux back! |

You should be alright taking food in your checked lugage. You can not take it in your hand held luggage.
The best bet it to check with the airlines and also customs in the country you are going to.
Why would you want to take food to Greece? They have rice and pasta, pasta is usually homemade. |

Yes cereal is worth taking as it is expensive to buy in Greece, rice and paste is cheap so it's not worth taking that with you buy just buy it across there. |

You can take food. Longlife products no problem. Only things like fresh meat might you have problem with. Having said that I lived in Cyprus and took sandwiches, salads and all sorts in my lugguage and never had a problem. |

its allowed, but there is no point in bringing it. most airlines are very strict with the weight limits of suitcases. In greece you can buy practically the same pasta or rice. Have fun, its beautiful there |

You can take foods like rice and pasta in quantities that would be used by you. You cannot take fresh fruits or veggies that might convey insects to the island. (At least you couldn't when I went.)
