Yes, you can.

Most of the world wide known cards are accepted in Turkey. You use them in almost all restaurants, shopping malls and small boutique shops in Istanbul

Then again, be sure to take some cash with you for smaller cafe's and shops.

Although not related to the topic but I have one advise for you; Don't carry all your cash and credit cards with you. Don't let anybody to withdraw cash with your credit card for you from a teller ( They have English menu's BTW) and never give your credit card to be charged at a place where you don't have visual contact. There has been card duplication crimes. Don't forget to take the phone numbers of the correnspondant banks of the credit cards. You should contact them at once for cancelation in case of theft.

Hope it helps and hope you have a good time during your stay in ISTANBUL.

Most forms of foreign currency, travellers cheques and all major credit cards such as American Express, Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Prestige and Discover Card are accepted in Turkey.

Of course, you can... Turkey is just like the other european countries, no problem for paying with a credit card.

But when you enter some little stores in some remote towns or small cities, bring some cash , just in case.

Yes, sure you can use it.

It's Istanbul not Instanbul. I can't understand why foreigners insist on calling it Instanbul.
