Can you bring cameras into museums in Greece?

are dslr allowed?
Additional Details
if cameras aren't allowed into museums, do they have secure places where you can store the camera in the museum? or can you just not go into the museum if you are unwilling to abandon your very expensive camera?

I think they are not allowed in most of them.

No video cameras and photos with no flash only

dvatwork
My experience has been that u can take photos WITHOUT FLASH... but some museums do not allow cameras at all. At any rate, signs will be posted at the museum to let you know their policy.

cpinatsi
Yes, but no flash - and no video.
It is not a matter of security or protection from the flash light. It is a matter of copyright - you are basically not allowed to take professional quality pictures, so that you don't publish them with no permission.

nakis
no you cant bring cameras into museums in Greece because they want to protect them from cameras flash.

No, you can't. You can take fotos without flash, in some of them, but you have to ask first.

Georgia S
no, i think you can't...!!!

zipp380
I have always brought my camera with me in museums. However they will not allow flash, but tis usually bright enough to take decent pics

LN
I think they are.
You can take pictures but without flash.
Most of the times those pictures with an inactivated flash inside a musuem are not good enough.

linda c
we did but were not allowed to use Video camera because of security nothing at all to do with flash photography.
