Have you ever thought of how many animals are skinned alive for a fur to be made? Are you that cruel to wear murdered animals? When wearing it won't you hear their crying? Me and my social and friendly circle despise women wearing furs, and i personally have kicked out of my Law Offices clients who dared come in wearing a fur.
Primitive people wore furs because they didn't have anything else to protect themselves with from cold.
Nowdays cruelty is a bloody fashion imposed by financial interests which take advantage of humans and animals equally. Only that humans don't get skinned alive....

What's that about a human dying of cold? Where do you live? In Syberia? Even there they wear cold proof anoraks...

I am sorry for the harsh answer but I don't have respect to people who wears animals fur to look " fashionable" or " rich???". It only indicates inferiority complex to me and there are more humane ways to satisfy that complex.

Ä± would suggest you to do an Internet search and see how they skin live animals for their fur. Maybe you will change your mind about looking for "new and good" fur.

I hate women wearing furs, and I hate them even more when they try to find an excuse about this. What do you mean you prefer an animal to die skinned alive instead of a human to die of cold? Where are you? On Everest mountain? Even there climbers wear clothes made of other isolating from cold materials.
And I wonder: Will you wear the fur along with the monastery rings? I'm pretty sure it will be all combined with platinum blond hair.

I'm sorry about the answerers above who lost their time in giving an answer. Everybody in the world knows about the massacre of stray dogs in Bucharest.
We also know how some Rumanians killed a young girl in Italy by forcing their umbrella's point into her eyes.
So what would we expect from such people? Respect to animals?

Yes, you can. Although Kastoria is the most widely known place where fur clothing is produced and sold.

My message however, is that if you see once in your life the way animals are killed for their fur, you'll never want to buy it. It's extremely brutal.

Lamb and sheep furs make wool clothes which are perfectly ok, since the animals are shaved anyway. Wool and cotton can keep us pretty warm. I live in Thessaloniki and I know very well what Vardaris means during winter.

I am sorry, all you guys before me, but this orchestrated stream of answers against animal cruelty, don't you think is too much? For you Ipek, don't they slaughter lambs in Turkey, in the middle of the streets, even as close as Instabul, for religious reasons? That was also done for Greek Easter festivities many years back. It has stopped now, only in a remote village it may be done, and that out of ignorance.
How many of the rest, do not eat meat in everyday life?
So, calm down. You are a bit hypocritical when you do such a big fuss about a simple fact that the animals used for fur making are in fact bred for that reason. When people are killed by even more appalling ways I don't see you complaining with the same fervor for it.

I have given answers to my best ability, to all her questions and that is not because I am waiting the 10 points in any of them, nor do I seek that bravo. And if I'm get for a sucker, who is going to benefit?

Sorry I do that publicly, but Dellarovere get off your high horse, and your superior intelligence and don't look down on every one. This animal cruelty issue is important but there are other issues equally important.
I also do not see the point of Appealing to Higher Court for the hunting Issue. Do you think that people who hunt, are so brainless? or that cruel? I make it crystall clear. I DO NOT HUNT and I don't like hunting, but I feel that I can not forbid people to enjoy what they like. Furthermore nature has a way to replenish all that is lost. I live in a place surrounded by birds and I like their awakening, but I also hate the screching sound of ravens and their relatives. This year due to heat, I viewed the up-bringing of three consecutive hatching of sparrows, and although their excretions foul our verandas we enjoy their company. So if that was a good year for sparrows what about the other birds?
I don't know how close you are to nature, but if you observe it closely like I do, you will see that one thing effects the other in more ways than you think. So hunting, is a means to partake in the whole process.
A simple example is the pigeons in Syntagma Sq.or any other square of the world. Do you think they should be left alone to an uncontrollable number? And are you naive enough to think that no elimination of some kind takes places by human hand?
I can respect your belifs, but do not try to impose them on others.At least not in that way. You can show them the difference, and if they agree with you, so much the better for you, but do not force them to see things your way.

So give this woman the benefit of the doubt, (you lawyers, are so good on it on behalf of your clients), or the benefit of ignorance or even stupidity and be courteous which I am sure you are.

And give her also a star for her question, as you so abudantly do for almost every question you answer.
